ob体育游戏 provided complete design detailing, shop drawing, supply, installation, certification and warranty of structural steel for a new Science & Engineering Building at the University of NSW. The project involved a great deal of coordination with project stakeholders.

Science & Engineering is a specialist research and teaching space for the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. The new building was 10 stories, including a double height lower ground, basement level and plant level. It included an auditorium, research areas, workspaces, teaching and learning space, office spaces and bridge connections to adjacent buildings at level 1, 7 and the basement.

The project involved architectural stairs that linked the ground and roof levels via all 10 levels. The installation of the stairs was complex and was achieved by rolling the welded stair modules through the building and supporting the structures with back props. 2 cranes dropped the stairs into position. The auditorium involved walkways raised above a timber stage, completed with exposed architectural steelwork.
